Exciting stuff:
We have a combined Sydney North/South conference on Friday with President L. Whitney Clayton. President Leota has been asking us to work harder, repent, become more holy, or do whatever we need to so that President Clayton can tell us things that he normally wouldn't share. I'll try and take notes so I can relay the cool parts.
Spiritual Stuff:
President Leota has asked us to focus really heavily on our work with the less-actives in the ward. As a result, Elder Smith and I have been working through the ward list in all of our free time. Late Friday night, we had one last name that we wanted to visit. We found the apartment complex of this member, but we couldn't find the unit. We searched for probably 15-20 min because we both just felt like we needed to find this member. We finally found the entrance in the back of the building (really out of the way) and went up to knock on the door. This member was actually outside his door and enthusiastically invited us in. He shared with us that he had prayed that afternoon (4pm) for the missionaries to come by because he was ready to come back to church. By dinner at 7pm, he had given up hope. then we stop by at 8:30. This member shared with us that his family are all Catholic and they strongly disapprove of him affiliating with the LDS church. But recently he has made up his mind that it doesn't matter what they think. The only thing hindering him was that nobody had stopped by to invite him (because nobody can find the entrance to this building). It was really cool to see his prayer answered so quick.
I'll have to cut it short this week because there's a waiting line for the computer.
